State Senate - S31
Andrew was born and raised in Greenfield, Indiana. He is a member of the Cathedral High School Class of 2005. He studied Political Science at Indiana University Bloomington and graduated in 2009.
Andrew's professional career has centered on insurance, regulatory compliance, and public policy. He served as Policy Director for the Indiana Senate Democratic Caucus for 11 years, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience in the legislative process. Today, as an independent broker and consultant specializing in group benefits, Andrew advises small businesses and municipalities on benefits administration, helping them provide competitive employee benefits packages while staying within budget.
He has worked in the Medicare space since 2009. He understands the needs of the Medicare population and will continue to be an advocate for them whether that be inside or outside the statehouse. There are real opportunities at the state level to help curb costs and expand access to affordable insurance for Medicare beneficiaries.
What sets Andrew apart is not just his policy knowledge, but the tools he's built to put that knowledge into action. He's developed AI-powered software that helps municipalities and small businesses evaluate their current benefits structures, compare costs, and make data-driven decisions about their healthcare options. He's not just a broker—he's a strategic partner who understands the healthcare landscape, insurance regulations, and how they affect families, businesses, and communities.
Andrew decided to run for office because he understands the real challenges facing small business owners and retirees navigating Medicare. What differentiates him from other candidates in this primary is his deep understanding of the legislative process and the relationships he's built on both sides of the aisle—connections that will benefit District 31 constituents from day one.
