State Representative - H88
Stephanie Jo Yocum is a lifelong Hoosier, nonprofit leader, and dedicated community advocate committed to strengthening families and communities across Indiana. Raised by a police officer and an educator, a Republican and a Democrat respectively, she learned early that compassion, service, and finding common ground are essential to building a stronger society.
A graduate of Marion High School and Hanover College, Stephanie began her career in service as an AmeriCorps member, mentoring high school students. She has since built more than 20 years of leadership experience in nonprofit organizations focused on education and healthcare, and currently serves as a Vice President for a nonprofit dedicated to improving the well-being of young children.
Stephanie is the current Chair of Serve Indiana, the state’s commission on service and volunteerism, where she advocates for national service and community engagement.
A proud wife and mom, Stephanie is deeply rooted in her community and guided by values of compassion, connection, and collaboration. She is committed to ensuring every Hoosier has access to opportunity and believes that bringing people together is the key to delivering meaningful, lasting results.
